Origins from the East
We are two brothers, Lucas & Nathan Simula, who have been passionate about Japanese culture since we were very young. During a trip to the Land of the Rising Sun, we noticed just how different and interesting the country's culture was, discovering all kinds of new concepts, including a luggage transport service.
As soon as we returned to France, it seemed obvious. Luggage is a waste of time and a source of stress, especially for business travellers who are constantly running out of time.
Shipotsu was born from here, the name being made up of two parts, the first being "ship" and the second "otsu", which is part of the Japanese word for luggage.
Our duty
By freeing these professionals from the burden of luggage, we offer them time and comfort that they can use to concentrate on their business, or to switch to Bleisure (Business + Leisure) mode. By freeing them from their baggage, we make these possibilities possible.
Luggage is a personal and precious possession in the eyes of the traveller, and it is for these reasons that we have established a totally secure and high-quality process.
We place great emphasis on the security of our services through :
- Services delivered in "White Gloves", a sign of prestige and quality.
- A luggage label with the information required for the chosen service.
- A numbered seal is affixed to the baggage, with a corresponding receipt given to the user at the time of pick-up.
Shipotsu also frees up hotel concierge services, which are often full during check-in and check-out periods. Shipotsu also relieves cong estion at arrival points such as airports and train stations.
Last but not least, thanks to its various baggage-related services, a new market is opening up for us, and more particularly for our service providers, more commonly known as "Ship'Drivers", because in addition to carrying people, thanks to the necessary certificates of competence (CTM and CTP), they now have the possibility of transferring baggage, and thus broadening their customer base.
Over the last few years, the image of the Chauffeur has become increasingly degrading. At Shipotsu, we want to change this image, and restore the image that the Chauffeur deserves through a safe, quality process.
With the aim of limiting our impact on the climate as much as possible, our drivers are trained to adapt their driving to meet ecological standards. To limit this impact, we have also set up a "co-sharing" offer to reduce the number of trips, enabling users to split their costs while reducing the carbon impact.

As soon as he arrives at the meeting point, a Ship'Driver will relieve him of his luggage. He can then go to his conference, trade show or customer meeting in complete peace of mind. Meanwhile, our Ship'Driver transfers his luggage to his hotel. The user will be informed as soon as his luggage has been received by the hotel staff. Of course, our services also cover the return phase, with pick-up at the hotel and drop-off at the user's point of departure, such as an airport or train station.

They are first and foremost business leaders, and to join the team, a selection process takes place, as certain conditions are required, such as the two aforementioned attestations of ability, or a personal interview with our team.
We have a partnership with the CFB Lyon training center, which issues certificates approved by the DREAL. The head of this center is a key Gold member, and one of our common objectives is to promote support and training. Our relationship with CFB Lyon and all our drivers is based on a win-win situation.
