TourCom, benefits for travel agencies and travellers alike

The 1,200 travel agencies that make up the TourCom network are legally and financially independent, but are still part of a network that was founded in 1990. Since then, TourCom has continued to grow and develop. Four years after its creation, a subsidiary specializing in business and corporate travel was created.

Ten years later, the network opens a new service dedicated to last-minute travel requests. In 2011, TourCom founds a network of travel agencies in France, in partnership with Manor. 800 points of sale are now available to travelers.

Partnerships multiply. A year later, in 2012, TourCom joined forces with GSM Travel Management. The French network is now present in 47 countries. Then in 2017, it covers Europe by joining forces with Avitour and RTK. Together, these networks have 5,000 points of sale across Europe.

TourCom, services tailored to the needs of travel agencies

TourCom brings together over 1,000 independent agencies. These voluntary agencies enable the network to expand not only in France, but also in several European countries. In return, TourCom offers them a wide range of services.

Financial services.

The network has its own payment center. Tourfinance provides guarantees to suppliers and covers customers in the event of bankruptcy of a member agency. The network also negotiates rates with suppliers, banks and insurance companies.

Legal services.

TourCom has a lawyer on hand to deal with disputes, as well as a dispute handling service. This service is invaluable for travelers who have complaints to make, and even for agencies who have disagreements with airlines, hotels or other suppliers.

Sales support and training.

For member agencies who so wish, the network offers training in marketing and management to help them better manage their travel agency and communicate more effectively about its services. These agencies also benefit from financial support for communication.

Management consulting.

This service includes IT support, management consulting and performance indicators.

The advantages of working with the TourCom network

In addition to benefiting from the various services offered by the network, the advantages are even greater for travel agencies.

TourCom is perceived as a "progressive" network. This means that it does not follow traditional travel agency models. As a result, it adapts to the particularities of each of the agencies that have joined the network.

New agencies struggling to find suppliers have access to the network's portfolio. On the one hand, TourCom suggests suppliers, and on the other, it negotiates preferential rates and discounts with these suppliers. Members also have the option of being reimbursed in the event of supplier default.

What's more, some member agencies find TourCom more open than other networks. For them, TourCom is reliable and allows member agencies to retain their independence. This means they don't have a say in how the travel agencies operate. What's more, travel agencies are free to decide whether or not to use the various services offered.
